Natural Winter Wellness Tips for Moms

Natural Winter Wellness Tips for Moms

Winter brings its share of challenges, especially for busy moms balancing family, work, and self-care. The colder months often come with sniffles, dry skin, and low energy.

But the good news is that natural remedies can help keep you and your family healthy all season long.

(Remember that you also have to keep yourself healthy and sane for the holiday shopping, present-wrapping, and holiday cooking!)

To help you gear up your family during the holidays, I’ve gathered some natural wellness tips to help you navigate the winter season with grace and vitality.

Yep, the nature’s way!!

Wellness Tips for the Winter Days

Winter Wellness Tip #1: Strengthen Immunity

As they say, prevention is always better than cure, so that’s our tip number one: Strengthen your family’s immunity.

A robust immune response not only helps ward off seasonal challenges but also ensures a holiday winter experience filled with joy and well-being.

Winter is notorious for spreading colds and flu, but you can boost your immunity and protect your health.

Eat healthy, stay hydrated, and get enough sleep!

For the kids, it’s always best to get their nutrients up with proper supplements like Az2 Chewables, or a drop of On Guard® in their favorite food to support their body’s natural defenses.

VMG+ Whole-Food Nutrient Complex is also a good supplement to go!

And don’t forget to move! Exercise increases circulation and promotes a healthy immune response. Bundle up and enjoy brisk walks or engage in indoor activities as a family.

Lastly, consider essential oils like eucalyptus, tea tree, and lavender oils to boost your immunity. I usually diffuse these oils in our home to create a protective aromatic shield.

Their natural scents as they uplift the spirits and also support respiratory health too!

Winter Wellness Tip #2: Tackle Cold & Flu

As winter settles in, it brings with it the seasonal challenge of warding off colds and flu.

However, the good news is that nature has ways to support our immune system and combat these common ailments without resorting to harsh chemicals! The foundation of winter wellness lies in prevention, and a robust immune system is our best defense.

Start your day by fortifying your immune system with a warm immune-boosting tea. Combine ingredients like ginger, lemon, and a dash of honey for a soothing drink that warms you from the inside out.

You can also try soothing baths by adding a few drops of eucalyptus, peppermint, or Breathe® to a warm bath for respiratory support and relaxation.

(Breathe Easy Combo – Breathe Oil Blend, Drops, and stick in one bundle – is my go-to for respiratory support!)
Breathe easy and be relaxed!

Winter Wellness Tip #3: Tend Your Dry Skin with Natural Care

As the winter wind whispers through the air, it carries with it the inevitable challenge of dry skin.

The colder temperatures and lower humidity levels can leave our skin feeling parched and in need of some extra care.

Frankincense is great for this, especially the new Frankincense Stick + Naio Wood!

The secret to nurturing dry skin lies in adopting a natural skincare routine that provides deep hydration.

In addition to your skincare routine, staying hydrated from the inside out is crucial during the winter months. Ensure you're drinking enough water to support your skin's overall health.

By embracing these natural approaches, you can banish dry skin woes and welcome the winter season with radiant confidence.

Winter Wellness Tip #4:Keep Your Gut Happy

One thing I've learned is that a healthy gut makes such a difference in how you feel, especially in the winter.

I love adding PB Assist+® to my daily routine—it’s great for supporting digestion and keeping my gut in check. Plus, it's super easy to boost your fiber intake with foods like oats, chia seeds, and apples (they’re perfect for cozy winter recipes too!).

And don’t forget hydration! Staying hydrated helps with digestion and keeps your skin happy, too. I like to add a drop of Lemon oil to my water—it’s refreshing and helps with detox. Simple, but so effective!

Winter Wellness Tip #5: Stay Energized with Restorative Practices

One more challenge I noticed during the winter season is that it can make us feel so sluggish! Maybe it’s the cold temperature that leads us to hibernate for a bit. However, adding a few simple restorative practices can help to stay energized and in a better mood.

For a few practices, you can take 5-10 minutes each morning for meditation, which works wonders! I love diffusing Balance® during that time—it helps me feel calm and focused for the day ahead.

And let’s talk sleep! It’s such an easy way to recharge. Serenity®, either in the diffuser or a dab on the wrists can create a mini spa moment that sets the tone for restful sleep.
